I don't object to this video. It has very good ideas. By it's definition of a good religion, no religion should inflict pain or produce anger. There is nothing in religions that does this, but the difference of religions does this, so they are suggesting everyone joining together in one religion. They have good ideas, and I agree with what they are suggesting here.

"To treat everyone without exception", "Calling us always to treat all others as we wish to be treated", and "With absolute justice, equity, and respect." I like these quotes because they are so true and they bring back old traditions and values and morals they were so important to our ancestors before us. Jesus says to treat other as we wish to be treated,as well. So the morals are those of Biblical times and those that Jesus commanded his people of.
I think in some ways I do live a compassionate life. I volunteer for things, make cards for people in the hospital, and regularly try to help people and do favors for others.
If everyone helped people out and cared about other peoples interests instead of just their own, the world would be a better place. I'm not saying I'm any example or that I'm one to follow. But I'm just answering the questions. :)

Accepting cultural diversity in all of us. No, i dont object to any part of the Charter. Yes, im am living a commpassionate life. Being nice to animals, and allways being happy. Accept any one for whoever they are.
i chose the phrase "Passion compells us to work tirlessly to alleviate the suffering of our fellow creatures." I chose the because i agree completely. I don't object to the charter in any way. I am only partly living a compassionate life. I have love for most but not all
1.my phrase is compasion lies at the heart.4. If i wanted to use this discussion in class i would use most of the ideas as in compasion.3. i am living in a compassionate life according to the videos deffinition. If i had to offer a deffinition to this video i would say that people around the world are not like some of this and are a little poorer and we should help in any way we can. -justus
The part about religon made me feel content.
It's true. Sometimes people are raised with tales such as All muslims are terrorists. I am a muslim and when people say that about us it hurts my feelings. Egyptians are violent, yes, but not all Egyptians are muslims. Its true though that most Arabs are muslims, Like I'm An Egyptian muslim. Terrorists cause harm, Not muslims.
Anyway, on the good side, the video was about compassion, our school theme.

i think this video is special becasuse of the different people who give the speches about compassion. The video really speaks to me and hopefully many others. This video could really change some things that need to be changed!
I think that it's really interesting when the little girl says "Treat anybody without exception", because what if they're a suicidal killer???
Davida H.
That was interesting. When the kids say to insure that youth are given accurate and respectful information. I do not object to anything.I'm not sure if I am living a compassionate life. I could try to donate more food and money.

I think all the speeches speak to me, because they are all said by many different people, talking about compassion to others.
I do not object to any part of the charter.
Because it is saying how all people can exept each other, and learn to get along.

I agree with the charter. I think it conveys a fairly simple message. The part I liked was when they said not to discriminate people because they are indigent or has a different race than you or has a different religion.
Molly Kirsch-smith middle-8th grade
Compasssion compells us to work tierlessly speaks to me the most because it reminds me of the beads for life video because they all worked very hard. I dont object to anything in this video. I think im living a pretty compassionate life.
Erin Peck Smith Middel School 2nd Period
The statement that stood out to me the most was when they were saying the any writing that is telling you to be violent is illegitiment. It stands out to me because is it saying that no matter what you believe, there is no reason to ill towards anyone. Everyone desevres compassion.
Am I living compassionately? The answer to that is no. I am not always nice towards others. I guess you could say the viedo showed me how that effects everyone. To me being compassionate is the way in which you live your life molding it around others feelings, seeing beyond yourself.
The principle of compassion lies at the heart of every spiritual and religious tradition, is the phrase that stands out to me because of the inherent truth in it. Almost all religions are based on compassion. I believe that i live a compassionate life because i do my best to treat everyone equally regardless of who they are
gilberto d.
I agree with the people. Beacuase if you exxlud people from a diffrent race that means you are races.
In the video they talk about compassion and that our world needs compassion.Because we are not caring for our world to help save water to try to stop pollution.
Jay Pande, Smith Middle School
I think the charter is a great defition of compassion! All the phrases speak to me equally and do do not object to any part of it.
Smith middle school-8th grade
The phrase "treat all others the way you want to be treated" speaks to me becuase that phrase is the foundation for compassion. According to this video i'm living a pretty average compassionate life.
What statement or phrase in the video speaks to you the most, if any? Why?
1. We as the ppl destoryed human compassion. Compassion is required for human progress.
Do you object to any part of the Charter? If so, why?
2. No
Are you living a compassionate life according to their definition? Could you offer a new definition for compassion that more accurately reflects your ideas and views?
3. Yes and no
How can you use the ideas from this video, our discussions in class, and our Global Connections activities to impact the world in a more positive way through expressing compassion?
4. Make global connection world wide..

The phrase "Treating everybody without exception" speaks to me most because they had a sweet-innocent looking child saying it, which really makes a bigger impact then an adult. I don't object to any part of the charter because i think this video is very moving and all true. I think i live a compassionite life because i'm nice to almost everyone and i help at the animal shelter every week to improve life for animals. You can use the discussions in class and our Global Connections activities to help you see that compassion is becoming a global thing and we should all join the trend. I think compassion is something we all deserve to have, no matter who they are.
the statement that speeks to me the most is the one that says that some people have increesed the sum of human misery in the name of religon.
I think that everything they said is true and I agree with it.
In some ways i am not living compassionate because i am not all ways kind to people and i some itmes makes fun of other coltures and traditionds.
our class could have a seminar on compassion.
I try to be compassionate to special needs kids, last spring i volentered in the special olympics. i also receve compassion from my family and other loved ones.

I do not object with any part of the charter. I love the message and the ideas that the people in the video are trying to get across. I am not living a compassionate life by there definition because I don't love all things and people in the world.
To ensure that you are given accurate and sure information spoke to me because it reminds me that you should not lie and help people to find their ways and to teach them instead of lieing to them. I don't object to it because i think that this video is very important for kids to hear and that it might even inspire kids. I think that many bad happenings in our world have no compassion but compassion should be people caring about our society and population. You could show a class this video because it shows that many people care about showing compassion and have ideas to use compassion. We need compasion because we need to use it in out polarized world.
I agree with the Charter of compassion. You should respect everyone no matter if they are your enemies, friends, or strangers. The statment that speaks to me the most is that some have even increased the sum of human misery in the name of religon. This speaks to me the most because that means you are making people sad or miserable just because of religon
1. The statement that spoke to me the most is "to dethrone ourself from the center of our world and put another one there". This spoke to me because i sometimes feel like I don't do this.
2. I think I am living close to a compassionate life. My definition of compassion would be acting on your own accord to help others less fourtanite then your self and to not think your self higher then anyone else.
1. To deny basic rights to people. I think that it is sooo cruel and unfair becauce every one should have basic rights.
2. No i am all for the Charter.
3. I think i am, but i think that i could be a little more compassionate towards others. Not to judge people from their religon or faith.
4.Everyone could do something to help people that are less fortunate than others. For example, working at a soup kitchen for the homless.
When one man says to refrain consistently and empathicly from inflicting pain. many people throughout the world suffer with pain physically and emotionaly. So if we could help these people, that would show compassion.
No, I have no problem with compassion
I feel I am except, I think you could always show more compassion to anyone and yourself. Compassion to me is helping others when the are down, making sadness and pain go away.
If we can help the world be a little nicer to people who don't have anything, one day maybe the world will be nice to eachother all around instead of killing people in war because of their beliefs, or bullying someone at school because it makes you feel better.
My favorite quote was "Compassion can break down political, dogmatic, ideological and religious boundaries." I like this phrase because it says that even though we might be different, compassion can break this difference and make us all the same. I don't object to the charter. I think I'm living a compassionate life. I help people out and always show compassion. A overall definition of compassion is showing love for other human beings. People can impact the world through compassion by simply giving less fortunate people love.
When the little girl says" to treat evryone without exception"
No
I think i am living a compassionate life.
It compels us to work harder and do everything possible for the world that we can.
What statement or phrase in the video speaks to you the most, if any? Why? Where it says that if u want to be treated right you have to treat others the way you want to be treated, because sometimes i dont treat people right but i want them to treat me right.
Do you object to any part of the Charter? If so, why?
NO
Are you living a compassionate life according to their definition? Could you offer a new definition for compassion that more accurately reflects your ideas and views?
No not really because.to me compassion is when you help others
How can you use the ideas from this video, our discussions in class, and our Global Connections activities to impact the world in a more positive way through expressing compassion?
because in global connections we have a day taht peple can tast the food and experience how it feels to be in another country
1.
"to cultivate an informed empathy with the suffering of all human beings even those regarded as enemies."
because it's pretty much saying to have compassion for everyone, not just yourself, or people like you.
2.
I think that there definition had so many views that it pretty much covers it all. And compared to what the people said in the video I don't think that we have reached that point of compassion, and it need's to change.
3.
I think that performing something like this was a great idea because its capable for everyone to see around the world. They can bring up the discussion anywhere and maybe everyone could see how much work we need on compassion.
[I think it'd be very cool to perform this on Global Connections Performance night :)]
1. The line or phrase that stood out the most for me would be when it is saying, "everyone religion and race should be treated the same". I thought it stood out because it is pretty much saying that everyone deserves compassion.
2. I don't object to the charactor at all, I think that he knows what he's talking about.
3.I think that I am living a compassionate life, from the way they are saying how to live a compassionate life, my life shows all of that. I respect all races and religions.
4.there could be many ideas of how to impact the world in a positive way, this includes, helping out more in the community, getting all of the town together to discuss the importace of this issue, and more!

The statement in the video that speaks to me the most is when one says "We have failed in compassion", which is true and not true. There are some people in the world who have tried or did make a difference in the world involving compassion. And there are those who would rather argue over nonsense and making others feel bad. No one is perfect, but everyone is able to try. Compassion is accepting others no matter what they have done in the past, not argueing, and not fighting.
The phrase in this video that really speaks to me, is one of the women saying "we urgently need to make compassion a clear, luminous and dynamic force, in our polarized world. This quote really touches me because she is saying that the world needs to work together to make compassion more of a priority for everyone. I do not object to a part of the charter at all. I can impact the world through compassion by volunteering at local organizations in my community.
1. To treat other countries the way that we want to be treated by other countries. This means that if we donate textbooks to a school in Africa, once we can't afford anything anymore, they will donate stuff to us in reminder of what we did for them first.
2.
3. No, I'm not donating or fundraising as much as I used to do at my old elementary school. I'm not doing so because I'm too busy with a'lot of classwork, homework, studying and extra cirrcular activites. If I didn't have so much stuff to do, I may have been able to do stuff for different charities, such as the Red Cross. I could offer a new definition to explain compassion better then the dictionaries. If I had to define "compassion" in my own words, I would say that it means to donate things that other countries need and get something back in the future from those countries that we supported.
3. Create fundraisers that go towards different charities and foundations, such as BeadsforLife. I could also donate money towards different charities that help other countries.
What statement or phrase in the video speaks to you the most, if any? Why?
None of them speaked to me as much as the total message. Every statement was in important in some way and shouldn't be demeaned from the others.
Do you object to any part of the Charter? If so, why?
No I don't object to any of it.
Are you living a compassionate life according to their definition? Could you offer a new definition for compassion that more accurately reflects your ideas and views?
No. Though I try to act like what is portrayed, it doesn't change the fact that I'm still influenced by what goes around here; I'm from far from perfect.
How can you use the ideas from this video, our discussions in class, and our Global Connections activities to impact the world in a more positive way through expressing compassion?
Just by doing my best to follow what they say and try to influence those in the same manner.
As soon as they said "some have even increased the sum of misery in the name of religion," i immediatley thought about the death and suffering the Taliban has caused. This speaks to me because everyone has their own rights to religion and no one person should try to tarnish that reputation. By emitting hatred to so many people worldwide is not going to help ignite global compassion any time soon. This message can impact the world so deeply to make a united world. If we show love to enemies, they wont be enemies. If you invite love into your life it will RSVP love, that is what can make the message in the world.
I do object to part of the Charter. My reason is this: no one can gain anything without losing something in return. To go forward, something must be lost. To gain America’s freedom, the Patriots lost many men and their connections with the world. The Charter asks all people to come together to strive for a united world, but what they fail to mention, is the cost that it will have on our lives. They say that we can move forward and lose nothing but as I previously stated, that is impossible. So what is the price we have to pay to gain Utopia, and are we willing to pay the cost? The sentence that speaks to me the most is that “We must ignore the scriptures that say to hurt someone or the other and rewrite history.” This speaks to me the most because I believe that not all religions are perfect, so rewriting the way we look at our religions would change our aspect on the world.
All the speeches spoke to me and they all had a firm message. even if you think you're being very compassionate, you can always give more compassion to those who will appreciate it.
1. What statement or phrase in the video speaks to you the most, if any? Why?
no phrace tod out to me
2. Do you object to any part of the Charter? If so, why?
no
3. Are you living a compassionate life according to their definition? Could you offer a new definition for compassion that more accurately reflects your ideas and views?
some time wen i chage people's bad ideas
1.)
Treat others the way you want to be treated.
I think that speaks to me the most is because there was a kid when i was in 3rd grade who always does bad stuff and says bad words in front of the teacher and students. Nobody liked him in any way he never had any friends so i come up to him one day and try to be his friend. Having the first Friend he thought was amazing and he started to be nicer every single year...now he is one of the nicest person in school.
3.)
i don't think i am living a passionate life, because there are some people in my school that i just hate because the do bad stuff and cuss at you for no reason. I am not commiting to my school, community, or the world. Some kids do voulenteer work at the animal shelter. I dont...
1. To learn about peoples traditions and religion . This speaks to me the most because from this we can learn other peoples religion other then our own and so we dont make fun of them for what they believe in.
2.No,my reason is because they are a group of people who are trying to do good and help the world from being mean or hurtful to anybody that is a little bit diffrent from the rest of us.
3. Yes, treat others like you would want to be treated.
4. I can learn many other cultures and their beliefs and help people who may be less fortunate then us.
1)The line that spoke to me the most was treat everyone the same without exception because it is saying that everyone is equal which is what compassion is about.
2)I dont think that it should be as much about religon because some people are trying to stop it but dont have a religion.
3)I think that it I am living a compassionate life and I think that it is correct what they are saying it should be.
4) I think if you say somthing nice to someone or do a nice gesture then that person can pass it on and affects many people with one nice thing a day.
1.What statement or phrase in the video speaks to you the most, if any? Why? The most empowering part of this video is that everyone has their own and different opinion on compassion and it kinda tells a story about their life. I think that because, that because of the different cultures that were represented are like telling what they think compassion is.
2.Do you object to any part of the Charter? If so, why? No i do not because I think that these people are right about their ideas on compassion.
3.Are you living a compassionate life according to their definition? I am trying to live a compassionate life. I have been a lot nicer to people than I have in previous years.
4.Could you offer a new definition for compassion that more accurately reflects your ideas and views? I can't think of a btter definition about compassion because they just described it in so many ways.
5.How can you use the ideas from this video, our discussions in class, and our Global Connections activities to impact the world in a more positive way through expressing compassion? Well, when we danced thriller, the song was written by Michael Jackson and no one really apreciated him before he actually died, so that was kind of like a rememberance dance to me.
I show my compassion by helping others and doing what is right for myself and people around me. Compassion is shown differently for everyother person in the world. Compassion opens gateways for religion, life. Compassion is a simple thing it stays with you evrywhere you go. I loved the saying in the clip, "Compassion is a path for enlightenment." Others may show compassion by helping schools out or just doing what they believe in. I show my compassion for my family, soccer, and all of my friends.
1.) to take our self's from the center of our world and put another there
2.)I don't completely object to not showing hatred toward your enemies but I do think that part could be difficult
3.) Mostly, sometimes it differs little but mostly, of course I have at times I haved shown I was anoyyed or mad at someone and little things like that
1.)One of the statement that spoke to me is treat other the way you want to be treated and I have heard that so many times but haven't really thought about it until I started think about compassion.
2.)I disagree with the guy that said it was only because of religion! It can also be thinks like skin color or possibly where you come from, what you own, or/and what you do!
3.)I don't alway live though their definition of compassion. sometimes I get off kilter and only think about whats going on in my life.
"We acknowledge that we have failed to live compassionately" spoke to me the most because it made me realize the hatred in our world. No. Not completely, another definition of compassion would be fighting for our rights and other peoples rights with compassion. Donating money and food to the needy.
What statement or phrase in the video speaks to you the most, if any? Why?
"treating everyone, without exception." i think that phrase is really powerful because thats how things should be. If things where like that, then alot of things could be differnt.
Do you object to any part of the Charter? If so, why?
no i dont. I agree with all of it.
Are you living a compassionate life according to their definition? Could you offer a new definition for compassion that more accurately reflects your ideas and views?
I agree with there definition of compassion.
How can you use the ideas from this video, our discussions in class, and our Global Connections activities to impact the world in a more positive way through expressing compassion?
I think if everyone saw this video, then they would relize that poeple have changed alot and everyone should treat everyone else as equels.
1. None of them speaks out more than others because they all mean something in one way or an other.
2. No
3.Yes, because I treat others the way I want to be treated. And no because i would say treat others the way you want to be treated but they said that.
4. Helping kids make the world a better place.
One of the ones that speak to me is the one where it says that you need to help even your enemeys.
No i do not.
I am not living totaly compassinate life but i think that I can really work on it so that it is better.
1: that compassion breaks down political bondries. I feel ocward when i post things on the internet because there are people who strongly disagree with me, and can't see past that. It would be amazing if we could all just see past what others beleive and see the person inside. 3: No, i do not live up to their expectation. I say that it is ok to argue, arguing can only enhanse our knolage. It is human nature to have hatefull emotions, but it is also human nature to love. I agree with everything, except, i say we should be able to feel our emotions, we just shouldn't take it out on other people. 2: Like i said before, we should not bottle up emotions, just handle them in the appropriate way. there are some people who think that certain people should not have their rights. like in the video, that must end.
1) I do not object to any part of the charter because they are trying to help everyone live a compassionate life.
2) I can't offer a more accurate definition of the word compassion.
Also I think that I could be more compassionate then I am right now.
3) It will help people realize how much we can help. People will see how fortunate they are and how people less fortunate could really use their help.
I think everything everyone said in this video is equally signifigant to me, that we need o work against human suffering and not create it. I don't object at all, I strongly agree with their message. I live a compassionate life, I don't think I do any deliberate harm. Compassion is like what they said, undeerstanding the ideas and situations others have and helping them. We can use the ideas from what we've learned and help spread more good by supporting organizations and having more compassion in our daily life.
#1
The quote when the little girl at the beginning spoke out to me the most. I think it spoke to me because I completley agree with it.
#2
I honestly do not disagree with any of their statements. It is because if we treat everybody equally the world will be a better place like they said.
#3
You can use the ideas of this video to make the world a better place by treating someone how you would wish to be treated. Also, Global Connections could help by making us respect other people's cultures more.
The statement that speaks to me the most is that everybody and everyone should be treated the same. Also, i felt a compelling one about how our world needs change and really needs to show compassion everyday, it shoul not matter what you recieve for it just you feeling great about sharing compassion. I feel i am living a compassionate life although i could really be doing more to help me show greater compassion. My definition of my compassionate life is that i spend my days to the fullest, help people in need of a shoulder to lean on or something that they are not capable of doing. I can use my ideas and from what we learned in class to help people that are less fortunate and to not get in arguements at school cause in the long run you will feel better and show compassion without fighting all the time and being grateful for what you have, such as friends. i do not object any part of the charter i agree that all they said really needs to be shown around the world to have a compassionate world.
1. The part that speaks to me most is when they say to treat others as you would like to be treated. The reason being is that I went to a privite Chritian school from kindergarde to 3rd grade and they would always tell us that, and I've yet to fully understand the meaning
2. I don't think I object to any part of the charter, I think they summed up what many people have been doing for years very nicely. I don't think only specific people have been discriminating and judging people by what they look like, lots of people have done it befor, and hat's why we need to stop it.
3. By their definition, I hoestly am not really living a commpassionite life. For me, they stated commpassion perfectly, It's just that sometimes it's hard live by those rules.
The statement that speaks out to me the most is at 00:16. It is "To dethrone ourselves from the center of our world and put another there." It means that it's not always about yourself, and that you can focus on helping others.
I don't object to the Charter because everything that they said is true.
The ideas from the video say that everyone should be treated equal no matter what. Just imagine if everyone treated each other equally. No wars, violence, or poverty. Everyone should take part in this.
Q: What statement or phrase in the video speaks to you the most, if any? why?
A: "Treating everybody without exception" I chose this statement, because this is what I beleiev we should do and because on the inside we are all the same it doesnt matter what color your skin is or what your religion is, we are all the same.
Q: Do you object to any part of the charter? If so, why?
A: No, i do not, because everything that they say is all true about compassion and i beleive it one hundred percent.
Q: How can you use the ideas from this video, our discussions in class, and our global connections activities to impact the world in a more positive way through expressing compassion?
A: I can provide food for the canned food drive, and raise money for the homeless.
1.The statement that spoke the most to me was, "TO TREAT ALL OTHERS AS WE WISH TO BE TREATED OURSELVES!" which is a good statement that everyone should follow! It works.
2.No. This all makes sense. I want everyone to be treated with respect!
3. I would change the way me and my younger sister, Violet talk and act towards each other. I would make sure my whole family was getting along, not fighting, and doing whats right for our Family! You should make sure all of your family is Happy and Healthy.
4.I would make sure everyone is Happy, and if their not, then, I will make sure they will!
1. Is when it said for you to treat others as well as you treat yourslef. Beacuase I have been living in that statement for a long time so was the best one i lked.
2. No i belive in everything they said so i don't object anything about it.
3.sometimes, i don't always but i switch from time to time so sometimes i do sometimes i don't.
1.Treat others only the way that you would woul wish to be treated. My family has been going by this sain that u dont call sombody a name if you would be called that name and it hurts you dont say that to another person to hurt their fellings.2. No i dont because you can tell by thier facial expression that they were being seirous and talking from their heart so no i do not object what they are saying i belive it.3. I could tell people my family old sain or i could everybody I know to think about other people before u take action or say something.
The phrase that speaks to me the most is how we must get rid of bias in our schools. This is important because if kids grow up learning the wrong things, as an adult they will continue to belive those incorect things
I don't object to this because compassion is good and just and what they say represents compassion.
According to their definition i am living a slightly compassionite life but not compleatly. I don't think all muslims are terrorists, but I am not perfectly unbiased against them because of what I have seen in the news.
1)"reating everyone without exeption."This quote/phrase speaks to me because somtetimes people descriminate others for what they look like, they alomost never look into whats in there heart.
2)No.
3)Yes...I guess so."Not excluding people from certain activities."
-Abigail G.
The pharse that speaks to me the most is: Some even increased the sum of misery for the sake of religon. This is because, I have heard many stories of churches killing off scientists that proved thier religon to be wrong. Sometimes they even try to bury the truth forever. The thing that I don't agree with completely is to treat others the way that you want to be treated. This phrase doesn't allways work out. For example, if you treated someone how you wanted to be treated, they might not treat you the same, insted of being nice to you, they just might take advantage of you. I don't particulary agree that they got the definition of commpasion completly right. They speak as if commpasion is something that we need lots of. If we had shown so much commpasion in the past, would we be where we are now? With too much commpasion, there would be almost no ambition to invent, or create new things or ideas. If the world really went the way that this video wants it to, life would acually be very boring for me. If everyone was friendly there would be no challanges other then grades, commpanies could not fire bad employees because they are worried about thier feelings. It would be peaceful if life were like what they say, but it would probrobly spoil us if there are no challanges to overcome. If the world where like that, would you really be satistfyed? This is my point of view, disagree with it if you must.( did i answer this question correctly?)
We could impact the world by showing commpasion to others, however, as I have learned, manty people do not repay the commpasion that you show them, this is why I don't show too much of it nowadays. If you are commpationite however, it may spread so that others can act like that too.
Then everyone(at least some people) could be a little bit happier(even if that means bored out of thier wits)
#1: it speeks about making the world a betr place
#2: no i do not object anyting
#3: no i can`t give a beter defanition.
1. The phrse that spoke to me the most was the one that the little girl said at the beggining, "treating everybody without exception." I think this one spoke out to me the most because i agree with it and i think that everyone should be treated the same way no matter what ethnic group or religion or anything that they are.
2. No I don't disagree with any of their statements because i think that everyone should be treated the same no matter how they are, and because if we do all of these different things the world would be a better place for everyone.
4. I can do more of the compassionate things that they said in the video and i can spread the word to treat everybody with respect and the same way you would want to be treated. I can also just do my best on treating everybody the same and helping others as much as i can.
1. The statement that speaks to me most, is "Treating everybody without exception." The reason is because I believe it is great that a kid as young as the little girl that spoke this understands that people need to be treated with respect.
2. I do not object the Charter, because I think that the world needs to progress in the way people treat one another, I believe they are right.
3. At my age I believe I am living a compassionate life, as best as I can, and the correct way according to this video. I also think that I have the same defintion of this word as the video, and the same thoughts as well.
1. The statement that speaks to me is "Treating everybody with out exception" said by the little girl. The little girl just really got to my heart, by saying something that everyone really needs to work on. It's a hard concept to learn, and for a little girl to seem wiser than anyone in this world just shows me that we need to work even harder to make this world a better place.
2. I honestly don't think anyone lives with that much knowledge of what to do right and what to do wrong, much less follows it. But that's what we need to work on.
3. I think more charities like bead for life would be a good idea for showing compassion. But the biggest thing is that we need to follow these rules in our daily life and respect eachother while doing it.
In the video, the statement that stands out to me the most i " Copmpassion is esscential for human relationship." This speacks to me because everyone has a relationship with someone weither it is with a friend or a spouse; and if you want that relationship to suceed, you need that compassion!
No I do not object to any part of this charecter because I would like to follow this charecter when talking about compassion.
I could use these ideas by being myself a more compassionate person. I could do that by, being more understanding, senitive to others and toughtful!
The statement that speaks to me the most, is "Treating everybody without exception." Because everyone needs to b e treated with respect. No matter what they have done in the past.
I do not object to any part of it.
I am living a partialy compassionate life I can do more I just don't know what.
Being nice to everyone and respecting everyone.
1. The phrase the stood out to me in the video was when one of the women said "We call upon all men and women to restore cpmpassion to this center of morality and religion." I like this so much because we really do need to do need to restore compassion. Having compassion is such an important way of life and we need to make sure that we never forget that.
2.There is absolutwely nothing in the Charter video that I object to. Every bit of imformation given is completely true. We need to be compassionate towards others and we need to remember that even a little compassion can go a long way and have a huge impact on another life.
1. The statement that speaks to me the most is to treat other people without exception because that applies to any situation you are in.
2. I do not object anything in the charter because it all relates to our American history.
3. Yes, I am living a compassionate life according to the video.
4. No, I think that the video says it all.
5. Try to imagine yourself making a difference, and then trying it.
1. The one where the people are saying that if you give to a certain country (if that country is in need), once we can't do certain things that the country we donated to in the past has, they will more likely be willing to provide what we need in a (peaceful) way.
2. Yes, I think all the statements about compassion is true.
3. No I'm not living a compassionate life according to the video's definition. If I had to, I would define "compassion" as caring for people, countries and non-profit organizations that don't get much income.
4. I could help out with the Ronald McDonald House. Maybe donate some money to the Red Cross.
The statement that speaks out to me the most is "treating everybody without exception" because i think that everyone should be treated the same even though they have different color or appearance or ethnicity.

One of the most meaningful statements in this film is "Compassion is essential to human relationships" This is important to me because I have never really thought about this until now. And now that I have I see that without love or friendship in our world, there would be corruption and chaos. Because of compassion, people can come together and love each other and pursue happiness together.
I live a compassionate life by standing by my friends when they need me, and committing my loyalty to my family. But I do not think I, or anyone in this world, really live up to the expectations of 'compassion'. I actually do not think 'compassion' even exists in our world. Should we even name something that does not exist?
Another definition of compassion is to get to no someone before you judge them on their looks or by what you hear about them. And before you go out to buy the latest cell phone, iPod, or laptop, think about all of those people throughout the world who cannot even afford one meal a day.
1) to treat everyone without
2)no because everyone wants to be treated with respect. i know i do
3)yes, to me compassion means to do all you can for someone in need of your services.
5) i could donate to the ronald mcdonald house
"Treat others as we wish to be treated our self." This phrase is important because if you do not treat others with respect then you will not be treated with respect. I think I am living a compassionate life according to the definition. I treat others in the way I would like to be treated. The ideas in this video makes you think about what little things you can do to help or be compassionate to others.

1. The one that speaks to me the most is when the little girl says "treating everynody without exception." I like that one the most because it means a lot, its like never leave anyone out.
2.No, because I think its something everyone needs to hear.
3.I think I am because i try to give everyone a chance, Treat others the way you want to be treated
4. We could start a fun raiser at global connections just like the one that went to the amrican samoa.
Ian McKeown 7th grade, Ms. Webb
1. The statement saying that they take responsibility for not living compassionately spoke to me because it does not put the blame just on me. 2. I do not object at all.3. I have not been living a completely compassionate life. i do not have a different derfinition to share. 4. I can start can drives, donate to more charities, and be a more compassionate person. 5. Once when i was sick on Halloween, everyone in my neighborhood gave me some of their candy, Because i couldn't go trick or treating.
1. A line that stands out to me the most would be "treating others, without exception" it think this is a very powerfull statement
2. I don't object to anything they are saying.
3.I think that I am living a compassionate life and my own definition of compassion would be the same thing as they said in the video "treating others, without exception. 4. By treating others the way they want to be treated

1. The line that sticks out to me the most is "Both in publis and private life to refrain consistenly from inflictin pain." that speaks to me becaus i dont like when people get put down. and i don't like to fight. another phrase that sticks out is "We urgantly need to make compassion a luminous in our polarized world." this is important because this world it becoming polarized. that is because compassion si not a big part of the world any more and we do urgantly need to put compassion back in us.

I agree with the charter I think it has a message that is very clear and straight forward. I think compassion could be used in our school with the people who constantly leave other people out because they think they are too"weird". They could stop leaving them out and start being more compassionate.
Amalan Iyengar
I think this charter is a great idea, and it calls out to all people, including those who think they live a compassionate life. There is always room for improvement, and I think that all human beings are discompassionate at some time in their life. A phrase that spoke out to me was the “we must show compassion to all, even those we consider as our enemies”. I found this quote particularly impressed on me because I feel that I do not show compassion to the people who I am not friends with, and that we as Americans have a bad image of Islamists, and degrade them with airport security and do not give them as many privileges as they deserve.
Sunjeev Gururangan-pd3
The satement that speaks to me is when they said to treat everyone without exception. I completely agree with this. all people should be treated with respect no matter what their race, sex, color, or sexual orientation is.
I do not object to any part of the charter and I think it has good views
